SCRAPY LAND LIVE!...

is ready to share.

It's a demo.
It's informative.
It's running a bit slow, because it's still processing.

But I think you'll see that the new Flex Mat from QK does work. It's works phenomenally well in fact.

It cuts, it embosses, it cuts competitors, it cuts its own.

I'm in love *swoon* with my Epic this week. FINALLY! Seriously, completely, totally in love!

If you have any questions, shoot me an email. If I can't help you trouble shoot what's going on I will always tell you to call QuicKutz. They have been awesome in supporting us. They have sent out machines, platforms, cutting mats and information.

So this is what I know so far - about the machine sitting in front of me tonight.

ENJOY! And keep the QuicKutz faith! {LOL}

Please remember - when you start using competitor's dies it's all about "slow and steady". If a technique I've suggested feels too tough to turn...STOP. My Epic Six is 4 days out of the box. My November Epic worked a little differently.

Try these techniques. But if at any time your handle feels "too tough" definitely stop! Call QuicKutz and ask them. They might have more suggestions or more trials on their side!

Thanks for tuning in ladies...always great to have a jam-packed studio audience.

I'm here for your habit...

Hey Susan, sorry I didn't get to watch last night so I was able to see the video this morning. I have a question. If I have not had any problems so far with the Epic, but I have not tried letters, do I need the new grey cutting mat with that acrylic shim on it? I still use my Revolution when I go and scrap at other places, it seems to be more convenent. I just don't want to have problems later on, thats all.
Thanks,
Karen E.

Thank you for sharing this with us... I decided to give my Epic another chance and after getting the new Flex Mat I have to admit that I'm in love with my Epic again!!!

Thanks Susan! My Epic seems to work a little differently than yours. When I cut, my flex mat doesn't get all curved it just curves a little. So when I emboss the Spellbinders with the 2 rubber emboss mats like you did I don't get much of an emboss. I found using the gray cutting mat with 1 rubber emboss mat works and when I do that my flex mat does curve up like yours did.

My machine is a little older, maybe more adjustments have been made since then. I do have the cutting mat with the clear plastic piece added though.

Okay, I think that I have one of the first Epics that I pre-ordered thru SL, I have only used it for embossing but am thinking that I better try cutting out some 4x8 fonts. Glad that QK has been good at working out all the kinks.

I have an "older" Epic, but haven't tried all my dies on it yet. Does this new flex mat work with the older Epic, or just the new ones? I guess I just have to watch your video to find out! I do know that the free die (that came with the early Epic orders) does not cut on one side :(

That is so awesome - great video - so informative - do you know if the new Tim Holtz dies work in the cuttlebug?

I had to re-attach my handle and used a thin small screwdriver to pop off the end cap. It's actually about an 1" long so the screwdriver chewed it all up trying to get it out. Turns out I was missing the washer so they sent me a new washer and I requested a new end cap.

I put both black ebony embossing platforms on the table and the new is a smidgen taller. Makes since, since the cutting mat is thinner the embossing platform would have to be a little taller.
